Misplaced Memories is a pop-punk-adjacent band based in West Michigan, blending emotional honesty with punchy, high-energy sound. What began as a personal songwriting project for frontman Braden Mailand has grown into a collaborative force fueled by passion, vulnerability, and the sheer love of loud music. Their songs are rooted in real experiences — love, heartbreak, identity, and change — all wrapped in catchy hooks and the kind of choruses meant to be screamed back from the front row.

Their sound draws heavily from early 2000s pop-punk, with nods to bands like Brand New, Blink-182, and MxPx, but it’s more than just nostalgia. Misplaced Memories brings a modern emotional weight to their writing, delivering heartfelt lyrics wrapped in driving rhythms and melodic firepower. It’s the kind of music that feels as good to cry to in your car as it does to lose yourself in at a show.

Each member brings their own flavor: Braden’s introspective songwriting and pop-friendly melodies, Josh’s gritty yet melodic basslines influenced by decades of punk and alt-rock, and Adam’s explosive, unrelenting drumming that injects every song with raw adrenaline. Together, they create something greater than the sum of their parts — a sound that’s both emotionally grounded and ready to blow the roof off.

Hitting the scene in the summer of 2024, live, Misplaced Memories delivers a show that’s high-energy, heartfelt, and deeply connected. It’s not just a performance — it’s a shared experience. Whether you’re a scene veteran or just discovering them for the first time, Misplaced Memories is a reminder that you’re not alone, and that sometimes, the best way to heal is to turn it up and let it out.
